Junior Corporate Communication

Context

Reporting directly to the Head of corporate communication, supporting the development of proactive and effective internal and external communications. Supports the CC manager, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop communications initiatives. The Corporate Communication Officer works in close collaboration with the external and the internal communication managers. He/she contributes to the promotion of the corporate reputation and image.

Your Position

  • Supports the head of communication, other senior staff and in responding to information enquiries and building dialogue with stakeholders
  • Assists in the development and the implementation of the overall communication plan through
    1. External
      1. Copywriting (press releases, stakeholder relations, translations…)
      2. Distribution on Social Media of CC content
      3. Publishing CC content external sites (backup)
    2. Internal (under supervision of internal com manager)
      1. Copywriting
      2. Publishing
      3. Ambassadorship Wallstream
      4. Semestrial Updates (content strategy, ppt presentation, implementation)
      5. Sensitive Uk translations and NL reviews
  • Assists with and the development and updates of Policies & plans and implementation (Corporate Communication Policy, Crisis Communication Plan, Social Media Policy)
  • Monitors coverage and identifies new opportunities to gain strategic media coverage and to increase image through reporting & analysis (internal, external, Social Media)
  • Assists with various transcompany  projects as requested to ensure the department operates effectively and meets business requirements.

Your Profile

Essential experience & skills: excellent writer, strategic and quick thinker, confident communicator and problem solver

  • Excellent communications skills (both oral and copywriting skills)
  • Bilingual (native Dutch); English is an asset
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, to multi-task and set priorities
  • Proactivity and autonomous
  • High level of IT literacy, including skills such as Word, PowerPoint, Adobe to produce documents and presentations and familiarity with online media
  • Knowledge of communications principles
  • Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with various stakeholders and sensitive information

Education & Job Knowledge
Post-secondary education with a focus on professional writing, journalism, communications, public relations or equivalent work-related experience.

Experience
2 years communications or public relations experience.
