Head of Finance Integration

Context

Reporting to the CFO and part of the Finance Management team, you will take end-to-end responsibility to lead the transformation needed to achieve the Finance Target Operating Model strategic vision. This transversal role will establish and follow execution of a clear roadmap taking care of all key dimensions of the Finance Operating Model including Tooling, Processes, Data and Organization. The function represents a broad Finance role which is central for the smooth operation of all Finance areas and with functional responsibility of the subsidiaries. 
 

Your Position

  • You provide a solid basis for the planning and steering of the financial process in order to deliver compliant and accurate financials on a timely basis;
  • You maintain the control framework around the Finance processes and contribute to the controls over the financial reporting across the company;
  • You drive the change towards harmonization of norms, processes and tools across the group and organize the teams accordingly;
  • As member of the Finance Management team, you collaborate with peers and contribute to the management of the larger finance challenges;
  • Working closely with other teams in IT, COO and the businesses at group level and in the subsidiaries, you will provide efficient and qualitative financial services through different levers including Program management expertise, process and systems knowledge;
  • You will lead a small team of Project Managers and Business Analysts.

 

Together with your team, you ensure the following responsibilities:

  • Translate the Finance Target Operating Model strategic vision into a transformation roadmap with different Projects;
  • Act as Program Lead of the Finance roadmap
    •  Ensure Project Management of the various projects, including  proper governance, execution, timelines, scope and risk management
    •  Priority and milestone setting
    • Lead of Finance Integration including PMO, value case and change management
    • Quality control on key strategic priorities/deliverables
  • Scope Management
    • Ensure project delivery according to initial determined scope
    •  Decide on and prioritize change requests
  • Stakeholder management
    • Function as a point of contact for CFO IT , COO and other Businesses
    • Represents Finance in transversal operational steerco’s and other meetings
    • Translate steerco / Finance Management Team guidance towards project teams
    • Escalate issues on progress, resources, scope and budget if needed towards steerco/sponsor
  • Progress tracking and steering
    • Lead progress meetings on the projects in scope
    • Act as challenger for stream progress and ambitions
  • Resource management
    • Ensure right people with the right skills are on the right place
    • Resolve demand and capacity issues: prioritize or take appropriate actions if needed
  • Budget management: manages Budget of (External) resources of the Finance departments;
  • Responsible for all internal communication In Finance on the Finance roadmap;
  • Responsible for Internal Controls methodology, implementation and monitoring across Finance departments;

 

As people manager you will:

  • Coach and develop your team members in order to efficiently deploy competencies, skills and know-how and to function as a harmonious and results oriented team;
  • Coordinate and organize the activities of the team in line with priorities, available resources and competencies; you define and optimize procedures and workflow process;
  • Share knowledge and ensure appropriate back-up in order to guarantee the continuity of the department and its services;
  • Define objectives (team level as well as individual level) for and with the team in order to evaluate the team and its performance.

Your Profile

  • You hold a master degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering;
  • You can look back upon at least 10 years of experience in BPM (Business Process Management and Operational Excellence) of which 3 to 5 years during which you were successfully leading a team;
  • You have an interest in the financial sector and/or financial matters. Having experience in the banking sector is an asset;
  • You have robust project & change management skills - Able to adapt to changing environment;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and high attention to details.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French with good command of English;
  • You are a team player and an empathetic people manager with natural leadership skills;
  • You are agile and have a proven track record in guiding teams through challenging times of change and migration/transformation;
  • As  a good communicator, you have strong interpersonal skills to gain trust, achieve business objectives and work directly with executive stakeholders;
  • You continuously strive towards more efficiency and superior quality;
  • You take initiative, are pro-active and demonstrate entrepreneurial skills; highly committed and have the ability to take decisions with impact.
