Context

 

In order to reinforce the Institutional Sales team of Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM), which offers investment services (Discretionary Portfolio Management and Investment Advice) to our Belgian Institutional end-clients (pension funds, public institutions, insurers, ..), we are looking for a new colleague with the capacities of both maintaining and growing existing relationships as well as developing new business.  

 

Your Position

 

As Institutional Sales, your primary responsibilities are:

  • Serving as the lead point of contact for all existing institutional client and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships;
  • Collaborating with the sales team in order to identify and grow new opportunities within Belgium;
  • Developing new business with both existing and new clients;
  • Ensuring the timely and successful implementation of our solutions according to client needs and objectives;
  • Managing challenging client requests;
  • Preparing tenders for potential new institutional clients, gathering input necessary for these tenders and work together with all internal stakeholders on the final report;

As part of the Institutional Sales team, you will next to the above responsibilities, also: 

  • Prepare portfolio and investment presentations (including performance reports, asset allocation and market views) for visits to existing and new clients;
  • Manage a prospection log book of commercial opportunities;
  • Maintain data quality of our client relationship database; 
  • Generate innovative ideas to improve services to clients and boost DPAM brand awareness;
  • Stay up-to-date with new regulation of the Belgian financial markets;
  • Interface with other investment professionals from DPAM internal departments (Fund Management, Reporting, Compliance, Legal, etc.) in order to collect the necessary information for the sales team to operate;
  • Attend DPAM internal investment committees and contribute in DPAM team meetings

 

Your Profile

 

For being a Successful Institutional Sales @ DPAM, we consider the following criteria as ‘must haves’:

  • You have obtained a Master degree (economics or similar);
  • You have a proven and relevant work experience of 7 – 10 years as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager or similar, in the broader financial sector (Asset Management, Banking, Insurance,…);
  • A strong ability to communicate (verbally and in written), present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level, in Dutch, French and English;
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office;
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail;
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities;
  • You are accurate, like working with figures and are highly client are service oriented;
  • You are autonomous, have a strong team spirit and want to contribute to the success of an ambitious team;
  • You like to work in a dynamic and challenging environment with a strive for perfection.
